Ken Smith has been in Chicago radio for over 25 years, starting his career at WGCI producing Power Gold Sunday for Radio Hall of Famer, Herb Kent. He spent many years with Shadow Broadcast Services as a traffic and news reporter for various stations, but he’s most remembered for his long stint on V103, first with Richard Steele and then with John Monds, Bonnie DeShong and George Wilborn as the “V Morning Crew” (later known as “The Monds Squad”).

After seven years with V103, Ken became a member of The Mancow Show as a sports anchor and sidekick.  He remained on The Mancow Show for nearly 14 years.  He’s been nominated for several Chicagoland A.I.R. Awards, including Best Afternoon Talent, Best Traffic Reporter and Best Sportscast.

He lives with his wife, mother and kitty in the historic Kenwood neighborhood on Chicago’s south side, on the same street as Barack Obama, although that still hasn’t gotten the pot holes fixed on his block.
