They say it’s your birthday, Chicago! Once a swamp and now a thriving metropolis, Chicago was incorporated as a town in 1833 and as a city on March 4, 1837. The latter date means Chicago is marking its 185th birthday in 2022.
Rooted in ingenuity and home to theatres, renowned museums, plenty of world firsts and much more along the shores of Lake Michigan, we say that Chicago, a city within a garden, is truly our kind of town.
