We’ve got another great show coming up this Sunday as we move into the fall and move forward closer to election day on Nov. 8.
Starting off the show, we’ll take our usual weekly spin through national politics with a focus on the latest in the presidential race.
Then, Dan McGrath joins the show. Dan is president of Leo High School and they’ve got some events coming up as well as a new principal at the school. We’ll talk about the intersection of education and youth as Chicago continues a difficult year. Also, as a former colleague in sports, Dan will give us his take on the Cubs, the Blackhawks and the, ahem, Bears.
After that, Brad Cole, the executive director of the Illinois Municipal League joins us. The IML is in town for the weekend for its annual conference and we’ll talk about issues of concern to mayors, city managers, village presidents and the taxpayers.
And for our last guest of the show, we are joined by our good friend of the show Jason DeSanto, a senior lecturer at Northwestern University’s Pritzker school of law. Jason’s an expert on deciphering the rhetoric in politics and that seems quite appropriate on the eve of the first big debate Monday night.
