Today on the Steve Cochran show, we have two guests on to discuss Chicago’s controversial charter school network that is growing every year. First on is Andrew Broy, President of the Ill. Network of Charter Schools, who says that the charter model means that the district “cannot do a very good job of supervising 650 schools” and suggests forming community groups to manage the local schools. Then we have Lucy Reese of Charter Parents United, who had four kids attend four different charters, and she’s here to give the parents’ perspective on the issue. Listen below for the full segment.
