Welcome everybody to Down and Distance, where two dads talk sports, music, life and parenting. Jarrett Payton and Shaun Davis discuss the biggest issues and interview the best and brightest.

Derrick Rose’s civil sexual assault trial is scheduled to start on October 4, 2016. There is still no settlement nor any sign that the lawyers are speaking with each other (the last we heard Rose’s lawyers were not even returning Doe’s lawyers emails).  Dan Werly is a professor at Charleston Law, the Cauldron and Bleacher Report contributor  and managing editor of thewhitebronco.com.  He joined Down and Distance to discuss the contrasting depositions of Jane Doe and Derrick Rose and how the jury will receive them.  We also break down the proceedings from September 29th and the important motions ruled upon in those proceedings, including the ultra important inclusion of Jane Doe’s dating history and sexual disposition.

We always convert on Down and Distance!!
