Masks off for ‘low risk’ sport participants in Illinois High School Association

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. – The Illinois High School Association has decided to allow athletes who participate in “low risk” sports to not have to wear masks while competing anymore. The change affects spring and summer sports including baseball, softball, tennis, and track.

Players will have to wear masks when on the bench, and officials will still have to be masked. IHSA will continue to test participants for COVID-19.
