FILE – In this July 24, 1915 file photo, passengers are rescued as they stand atop the Eastland passenger ship after the vessel capsized in the Chicago River in downtown Chicago. The Eastland Disaster Historical Society is planning events this summer to mark the 100th anniversary of the disaster, in hope that the events educate Chicago-area residents about the more than 840 people who died when the ship sand in the Chicago River on July 24, 1915.(AP Photo/File)
