The Nocturnal Journal returns from a Stanley Cup-winning hiatus with Flo Costa and cousin Gino DeLuca, part of a reunion of 23 siblings separated for years after the sudden death of their mother in 1958.  They were featured on Wally Phillips’ show in 1993 and are now celebrating what would be their mother’s 100th birthday with a Go Fund Me campaign to reunite all of the living siblings.

Dr. Neelum Aggarwal of Rush University Medical Center’s Alzheimer’s Center returns to continue the family discussion with a focus on elder care and the “Older Old”.

The Nocturnal Journey takes Dave to Nashville, where he talks to prolific session harmonica player Charlie McCoy, who discusses his beginnings on the Nashville music scene, working with the likes of Roy Orbison and Ann Margret and playing on Bob Dylan’s “Blonde on Blonde” and “Nashville Skyline”.

Finally Chef Jill Houk and The Local Tourist’s Theresa Carter talk about Alpha Beer XIV, a structured beer tasting featuring 26 beers, one for each letter of the alphabet.  This year’s Alpha Beer theme is “Women in Beer” and Jill and Theresa discuss the basics of beer tasting and evaluation, and the different kinds of brews featured in the event.
