In the late 1970s and early 80s, British blues fan Alan Harper came to Chicago to meet the greats and hear their stories.   In the process he finds the art form at a crossroads with the older established musicians and their acoustic guitars being confronted by young artists playing electric.  He discusses what it was like and his new book “Waiting for Buddy Guy: Chicago Blues at the Crossroads”  in this conversation with Nick Digilio.
