One Year Later tells the story of an American woman who takes a cathartic trip to the Italian Alps after completing cancer treatment.

In this podcast, Nick Digilio talks with filmmaker Lucia Mauro about filming in Italy, her own bout with the disease and all of the Chicago ties to the production.

The film will premiere on September 18th at Loyola University Medical Center’s new research facility. September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, and proceeds from the screenings will benefit Loyola’s ovarian cancer research.  Tickets are free but donations are accepted.  For more information and to reserve a seat, click here.
