The Leaning Tower of Niles, located in Niles, Illinois, provides a similar yet scaled down version of the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa. The Niles tower was completed in 1934 and was originally intended to store water for public swimming pools. In 1995 the Village upgraded the concrete, lights and a plaza were developed, including four fountains and a reflecting pool. The Leaning Tower sits in Niles at 6300 W. Touhy Avenue.
