Community Corners

WGN Radio’s Andy Masur shares some interesting facts about the Red Covered Bridge in Princeton Illinois. It’s a wooden bridge that runs over Big Bureau Creek just north of Princeton, IL. Built in 1863, the 149-foot span is one of just 5 remaining covered bridges in Illinois and is still open to traffic. The bridge was added to the US National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
