Lack of equipment at Cook County jail raises concern for virus hotspot

Cook County Jail staffers don’t have proper access to personal protective gear and hand sanitizer despite close contact with detainees in a facility where COVID-19 is reported to be a “hotspot” according to the correctional officers’ union who have represent jail staff.
