Chicago’s Afternoon News, heard 2 to 6 pm weekdays, is a no opinion news and information program hosted by radio veteran Lisa Dent. Equal parts informative and entertaining, it delivers the latest updates on the top stories of the day and can’t-miss interviews with newsmakers from business to entertainment and beyond. Chicago’s Afternoon News combines the resources of the WGN Radio newsroom, WGN-TV, and NewsNation for complete coverage and depth to every story.

A native of Rockford, Lisa Dent began her radio career in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin in 1981. She has worked at stations in Minneapolis, San Diego, Seattle, and Houston. Dent returned to Chicago in 2002 and previously hosted at country music stations WUSN 99.5, US99, and Big 95.5. Lisa Dent was inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2016.
