Brian welcomes Carly and Martina into the studio to debut their brand-new single and talk about their upcoming show at the House of Blues. Plus: Brian and the crew discuss WGN Radio’s impending move out of Tribune Tower.

To kick off the show, Brian talks about WGN Radio’s upcoming move out of Tribune Tower. In a completely unexpected surprise, Brian’s brother and nieces surprise him by walking by the studio on Michigan Avenue and dropping in to say hello in a super-adorable segment featuring two hilarious little girls talking about their summer plans.

Following the impromptu visit, producer Cody Gough and news anchors Roger Badesch and Pam Jones then join Brian in discussing some of the changes and how they feel about the move, in addition to some entertaining banter about downtown parking and the “magic” of the Allstate Showcase Studio on Michigan Avenue.

Then, Brian discusses the most disgusting, germ-ridden place in the airport, according science — and it’s not the restroom! On a thematically related note, Brian follows that with a story about PETA protesting the dissection of animals in high school. He asks the question: is it unethical, and should kids not be allowed to do it anymore? With today’s advances in technology and computer simulations that emulate dissection, he discusses the pros and cons of including it in a biology curriculum.

Recording artists Carly and Martina then join Brian in-studio to talk about their brand-new single, “Block His Number,” and their upcoming show at the House of Blues on Thursday, June 21. They also talk about their creative process and their upcoming performance at Summerfest in Milwaukee on Tuesday, July 3.
