Jack Quinlan was Cubs play-by-play announcer from 1955 through 1964. He was killed in a tragic auto accident prior to the start of the 1965 season. Ron Barber is the author of the audio book, “Jack Quinlan – Forgotten Greatness“. He calls Quinlan of WGN-Radio and the Chicago Cubs “the best baseball broadcaster who ever lived”. He joined Bob Sirott to talk about the 15-year journey he’s been on while trying to get Quinlan into the baseball broadcasters’ hall of fame.
