Sheri Flanders talks the significance of the new ‘Candyman’

Comedian and freelance writer for the Chicago Reader and the Chicago Sun Times, Sheri Flanders, joins Anna Davlantes to talk about the history and the importance of Jordan Peele’s “Candyman” sequel. They get into the origins behind the film’s conception which stemmed from a Chicago Reader article in 1987 titled, “They Came Through the Bathroom Mirror.” Flanders also discusses the cultural and social significance of both films.
