Artist and author Maryrose Carroll joins Rick Kogan for a discussion on her book, Beats Me: Love, Poetry, Censorship from Chicago to Appalachia. The book profiles her husband, the late prolific poet and professor Paul Carroll, weaving personal stories with events in the greater literary scene. They further discuss Paul Carroll as a man and poet and why so much of his work is difficult to track down.
Maryrose is signing and discussing the book from 5:30-7pm on Thursday 10/8 at the Chicago Cultural Center.
