(L-R) Carl Amari and Lisa Wolf

On Sunday, June 17th, WGN Radio Theatre hosts Carl Amari and Lisa Wolf were saying goodbye to the Tribune Tower before moving to their new home at 303 E Wacker Drive. Amidst all the sentiment and chaos, they decided to auction off the WGN Radio Theatre sign that sits in the window of the Showcase Studio. Roger Badesch, newsman extraordinaire, made the perfect suggestion to donate 100% of the silent auction proceeds to the University of Chicago Medicine Comer Children’s Hospital. The Montegna family won the auction with an incredibly generous bid of $1,000 – funded by their three young sons who are  contributing all their ice cream money! All proceeds will benefit the Comer Children’s Hospital’s Child Life Program, whose staff provides services for babies, children and adolescents who are preparing for surgeries and other healthcare experiences. Carl, Lisa and Roger look forward to meeting and dining with the extraordinary Montegna family
