(L-R): Tim MacDonald, Dave Hoekstra, Brandi Berry Benson, Thomas Alaan.

Dave Hoekstra welcomes the members of the Bach + Beethoven Experience, fiddle players Brandi Berry Benson and Tim MacDonald, along with vocalist Thomas Alaan, for some music and conversation. They talk about their latest show on June 1st at the Old Town School of Folk Music, where they’ll mix traditional church music with drinking songs straight from the tavern.  We also learn a little about the members and how the group came together, their mission to rethink what a classical performance can be and make the music more accessible to someone who maybe otherwise wouldn’t be into Scottish folk operas, and more.
