Bill and Wendy are joined on the phone by Jonathan Payne, who is a Geoscientist and Associate Professor at Stanford University. They talk about his study on ‘the sixth extinction’, which focuses on species going extinct at a rate that far exceeds what you would expect to see naturally, largely as a result of a major perturbation from humans.
