The Smithsonian will pay you $65K a year to research craft beer

LINCOLN SQUARE — This sounds like a help wanted hoax, but it’s not.

The Smithsonian has an opening for a craft beer scholar — that’s right, craft beer is now historically significant — and we’re pretty sure half of Chicago has conducted the necessary “field research” to apply for the job.

The three-year appointment, under the auspices of the National Museum of American History, pays $65,000 per year plus benefits.
