Jim Turano Full Show 07/03/16
Jim Turano fills in for Brian Noonan and begins the show by checking in with a very special WGN correspondent live at the Guns and Roses’ concert at Soldier Field. Next, it’s comedy time, as Jim talks with author Jennifer Keishin Armstrong about her new book ‘Seinfeldia,’ and what Seinfeld meant to pop culture.
He then switches gears and talks with author Tom Stanton who wrote about how winning came at a cost for many of Detroit’s sports teams in the 1930’s in the intense ‘Terror in the City of Champions.’ Mark Vasko then joins the show to break down what is next for the Blackhawks with the loss of Andrew Shaw and Teuvo Teravainen and what’s wrong with the Cubs. He closes the show talking with Mike Kaylor for his pop culture/culture club segment talking about Guns and Roses and bands they would like to see come back together.
