Kim Barker, the South Asia bureau chief for The Chicago Tribune from 2004 to 2009, joins Justin to talk about her book, “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan,” which was turned into  the film “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” starring Tina Fey. Kim discusses her work in the region, what compelled her to write a book about her experience, balancing dark comedy and war, falling in love with the people of Afghanistan, being portrayed by Tina Fey in a movie, the continued importance and relevance of print journalism and her appearance this weekend at the Printers Row Lit Fest.
