Justin Kaufmann in WGN studio

Now, this is how you end a great week of shows! On tonight’s episode of The Download, Justin speaks with author and former Chicago Tribune reporter Kim Barker about her book, “The Taliban Shuffle: Strange Days in Afghanistan and Pakistan,” a dark comedic take on her time in South Asia, which was turned into the Tina Fey movie, “Whiskey Tango Foxtrot,” local filmmaker and musician David Singer tells us about his upcoming movie and a show on June 24th at the Steppenwolf Theatre, the great  bandleader, trombonist and author Fred Wesley talks about his illustrious career playing with legends like James Brown and George Clinton ahead of his headlining performance at the Chicago Blues Festival tomorrow and we end the week, like we always do, with another visit from local genius Steve Gadlin as he steps into The Frying Pan.
