Musical director and composer Scott Frankel joins Justin to talk about his work on the upcoming and highly anticipated production of “War Paint” at the Goodman Theatre featuring theater legends Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole. Scott talks about his great career, how he got involved with Broadway, how he brings the music out in a production, what drew him to this project, writing with particular voices in mind, having a defined sound as a composer, the process of putting a musical together, dealing with both success and failure, what makes a show better than others and this weekend’s appearance at the Printers Row Lit Fest. Scott also provides some insight on how to improve the Kars 4 Kids jingle.
