Writer John Dugan joins Justin to talk about his forthcoming book, “The Empty Bottle Chicago: 21+ Years of Music / Friendly / Dancing,” recounting the iconic club’s great history. The book is a collection of stories contributed by the community of fans, former bartenders, bouncers, and performers, including The Flaming Lips, Interpol, OK Go, Low, Girl Talk, and more. John talks about why he wanted to tackle this project, his first experience with the Empty Bottle, the rivalry between Lounge Ax and Empty Bottle and the Empty Bottle being an ambassador to the city.
