Spring Training: Arrieta sharp; Quintana starts for the Sox today

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Jake Arrieta made his second spring season start against the Padres, and looks to be completely in command. He did give up a run on two hits and two walks over four innings, but admitted after that the walk to start the second inning was “intentionally unintentional.” Arrieta says he wanted to get some work from the stretch.

White Sox

Today, I’ll head to Camelback Ranch, spring home of the White Sox. Jose Quintana will make his second Cactus League start today against the LA Dodgers. Be sure to check wgnradio.com for more photos/blogs/interviews.

Meanwhile, ace Chris Sale pitched a successful “B” game yesterday. He’s set to make his first Cactus start on Saturday.
