Louder Than a Bomb, the world’s largest youth poetry festival, is celebrating its Sweet 16 anniversary from February 13th through March 19th. Tonight, Justin welcomes founder Kevin Coval and Simeon High School student and poet Antwon Funches to talk about the history of the festival and the importance of the program to the youth of Chicago. The festival brings together people from every corner of the city in an environment that fosters education, encourages self-expression and gives audiences insight into the real issues that teens are grappling with every day. This year’s benefit celebration honors hip hop legend Chuck D and Public Enemy’s DJ Lord calls in to talk about why he chose to be a part of the festival.
