Friday July 24th marked the 100th anniversary of the Eastland Disaster that claimed over 800 lives on the Chicago River.  Rick Kogan observes the occasion with a reading from author Mary Morris’ essay that describes the effect the tragedy had on her father, who witnessed it in person.
