The McCormick Tribune Foundation has established the Hurricane Katrina Relief Campaign. This campaign is supported by many of the Foundation's Communities Program Partners, including WGN Radio 720.

• Thanks to the rapid and generous response of tens of thousands of donors, over $8.5 million has been raised. The first $2 million raised was matched 50 cents on the dollar by the McCormick Tribune Foundation match. One hundred percent of the funds raised, plus the matching dollars, a total of over $9.5 million, will be granted to local agencies to help hurricane victims meet basic human needs: food, shelter, health care and other necessities.
• Contributions are still being accepted. Join the thousands who've already given. Every dollar collected will go directly to disaster relief organizations. All administrative costs associated with this campaign are covered by the McCormick Tribune Foundation.
