Well
it was one of the odder conversations we’ve ever had
on Pet Central. Dr. Bernadine Cruz, author of
The
Secret Sex Life of Dogs and Cats stopped
by the Showcase Studio to explain the birds and bees
for cats and dogs.
Steve
gave away pet food to the listener with the most original
dog trick. Judging the contest was Liz Palika, author
of
Complete
Idiot's Guide to Dog Tricks.
This
week’s Steve on Street featured Linda Mendez of the
Ernest Hemingway House where forty plus cats, often

fascinating roundtable discussion this time about legislation
introduced to start charging to enter Chicago’s
Dog Park. We welcomed County Chief Veterinarian Dr.
Dan Parmer, Dr. Shelly Rubin representing the Chicago
Veterinary Medical Association, and you the listener.

Abdual Jabbar was a Veterinarian in Iraq. In a conversation
held at the American Veterinary Medical Association
Convention, Steve talks to him about the current state
of Iraq, cats and dogs as pets and the rebuilding of
the national zoo.

saluki is an interesting dog with quite
a storied history. 93 year old Dr. Winafred
Lucas has been raising the dog for 83 years.
