Welcome
to Kathy & Judy's Radio Readers book club. It's a pretty simple
concept. Every other month or so, we will spend some time talking
about a book that we've all read. The books will always be available
in paperback, and they will NOT be interminably long.
Our 24th Radio Readers selection was made by Kathy
and is Truth
and Beauty: A Friendship, by Ann Patchett. It's Ann's
remembrance of her friendship with the late writer Lucy Grealey.
Kathy picked it up because she so loved Patchett's Bel Canto
(a past Radio Readers selection). It's difficult to say much about
this book without giving away Kathy's response to it, but she
thinks it's a great read for any one who has struggled with friendships
that aren't simple.
