Beth
Swierk is the executive producer of Chicago’s top-rated
midday program, The Kathy & Judy Show, on WGN Radio 720. The
show can be heard 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. weekdays in over ten states
by more than a half million listeners each week.
Swierk
began her career at WGN Radio as an intern during the summer of
2000. After working as an associate producer and traffic assistant,
she became the executive producer of The Kathy & Judy Show
in January of 2005. She also serves as the programming internship
coordinator at WGN Radio.
In
2006, The Kathy & Judy Show received the nationally recognized
Gracie Award for “Outstanding Talk Radio Show” from
the American Women in Radio & Television. The show was also
a finalist in the category of “Best Local Broadcast Team”
at the 2006 Illinois Broadcasters Association Silver Dome Awards.
Swierk
graduated with a B.A. in Communications and a minor in English
from the University of Missouri in 2001. She is a founding member
of the Special Olympics Chicago Young Professionals Board, as
well as a board member of the Mizzou Chicago Alumni Association.
She lives on the north side of Chicago and enjoys taking advantage
of all that the city has to offer.
