President Obama announced that Acting IRS Commissioner Steven Miller has resigned. The IRS has come under investigation for placing conservative groups under intense scrutiny.  Obama announced at a press briefing that Secretary of the Treasury Jacob Lew requested and receieved Miller’s resignation. The President also announced that safeguards will be developed to prevent this type of abuse from happening in the future.
