Orion I recently attended your talk in menomie,wi the 21st. I was uplifted with your enthusiasm with how people should be energising agriculture. My family and I own a 250 crop farm in Roberts,wi.My wife and I both work 40 plus hours a week away from the farm. I work at 3M Co. in St.Paul,Minn.More people there from time again say they are tired of farmers receiving subsidies from taxpayers like "them" and what do they need farmers for? They Have grocery stores.
Dear Orion and Max, you 2 professional commentators are some of the last left, what is going on at WGN . i seem to catch you guy's on WLBK 1360 AM more than on 720, i am befuddled at the management do they think i would enjoy listening to Brandmeyer? now i remember why i stopped listening to him on the FM . to tell the truth i am not a fan of WGN any more really i think you could guess why and i grew up listening because my Dad did, i guess some things never stay the same. It is inspiring to hear your voices and manfrediny sorry for spelling it wrong, I guess so long WGN all i have are podcast's to listen too now unless i turn on saturday am at 05:00
I'm about halfway through your book and I've got to say it's wonderful. I'm 53 years old, grew up farming around the Braidwood, IL area and I can sure relate to most of the things you talk about. I hope to be able to meet you at an upcoming event and have you autograph the book for me. We still own the family homestead, but other than my nephew having a few cattle and goats we don't farm any longer. I hope to dabble when I retire in a few years. But maybe I'll get lucky and hit the Lotto, then I can start farming again right away and still be young enough to go back to work when the money's gone! Thanks again, Orion for a great read.
Just one more comment – I have to agree with Mr. Swanson's comments about WGN. I still enjoy it and listen to it most of the day, but I listen to a different station until Jonathon Brandmeyer is done. He's just not what I care to listen to.
I have been tuned in to your show since the days of uncle Bobby and Roy Leonard . I worked in A factory for 20 years and now I work at a senior center. I relied on your advise as when to by food, The price of corn , soybeens and beef and pork I made my shopping list on your predictions. But now I here on wgn you are now a spokesman for a restaurant I and all seniors should consider that a conflict of interest
It's sad to here anyone is for sale
