Bill Leff is a Chicago-born actor, writer, comic, and former fifth grade hall monitor. After graduating from Columbia College with a major in film, Bill studied improvisation at Chicago’s Second City Theatre. He performed there and traveled with the improv group Joint Void before making the switch to stand-up comedy which he performed nationwide for ten years; headlining at top clubs and winning several prestigious comedy competitions.
Along the way Bill has appeared on several television shows, most notably logging a series of visits to A&E’s Evening at the Improv, Fox’s Comedy Break, and MTV’s Half Hour Comedy Hour. In Chicago Bill was a regular on WLS-TV’s 190 North and WBBM-TV’s The Magic Door. He can also be seen in a featured role in the films: Major League and Major League 2, and his voice can be heard in countless commercials. Well, countless might be stretching it….alright, eleven! He’s thrilled to currently be working at WGN Radio with his original partner, Wendy Snyder.
On paper, Bill is considered a grown up, but his interests and hobbies prove otherwise. He’s an avid toy collector, plays ping pong and tennis, watches cartoons, and eats cereal without milk on it. He’s happily married to Teri, an actress. They have twin teenage daughters, Kiley and Reese. The family has a pet caribou named Randall.
Wendy Snyder was born and bred in Brookfield, IL and has been a familiar voice on the Chicago radio dial for the past 26+ years.
In 1986, Wendy started her broadcasting career at WLUP-97.9FM/ The LOOP. After successful runs at WKQX-FM/ Q101, WCKG 105.9 FM and WLS 890 AM, she has now found her new radio home. In September 2013 she was reunited with her former radio partner Bill Leff and currently holds down the midday shift at WGN Radio 720 AM from 9am to 12noon.
Wendy and her husband Jimmy Mac McInerney have two boys Michael, 14 and Dylan, 11. And even Tiki the Dog is a boy, to add more testosterone to Wendy’s life! They’ve called La Grange their home for the past 16 years.
