  • Unknown Number Dead in London High-Rise Fire

    Fire swept through a high-rise apartment building in west London early Wednesday, killing an unknown number of people and sending dozens to hospitals. More than 200 firefighters battled the flames, which engulfed the 24-story building. UPDATE: Police confirm 12 people died in the fire, with that number expected to rise.

    UPDATE: Multiple law enforcement sources have identified the suspected shooter in today’s incident as 66-year-old James T. Hodgkinson of Belleville, IL. Law enforcement is looking at anti-Trump postings on his social media to see if there’s any connection. In a statement, President Trump said the shooter has died.
