That is too bad. I remember watching Marty McNeely doing the news on Night Beat and also working with Eddie Schwartz on WGN Radio. He also done the Creature Features introduction also. He will be missed.

I remember listening to Marty McNeely on WJR in Detroit. Does anybody remember the name of his theme song? I can still hear it in my mind but don't know the name.

Marty is at peace now; no more suffering from the insidious Alzheimer's disease. I will always remember Mr. McNeeley as the host of Night Beat and his indefatigable reporting prowess. Sometimes we don't miss somebody until they're gone. I'm sure he had a good life while he was working and into his retirement. He was blessed.
