96-year-old Cubs fan Phil Bouzeos
96-year-old Phil Bouzeos joined The Steve Cochran Show today. He first saw the Cubs play in a World Series back in 1932 at age 13. Thirteen years later, he would watch the Cubs play in another World Series in 1945.
He would go on to serve in the U.S. Army, graduate from Carroll College, and marry his wife Lynn in 1954. He spent his entire life surrounded by sports, working first as the equipment manager for the former Chicago Cardinals, then 40 years with Champion Sports before retiring in 1997. He says, even having seen two Cubs’ World Series, there is something very special about the 2016 Chicago Cubs. He says he’ll be watching the World Series with his wife from his favorite chair at home . . . unless of course he gets a ticket to what would be his third Cubs’ World Series.
