On the October 18, 2016 episode of The Opening Bell, Steve addressed the mass amounts of food waste that our country is faced with today. Baylen J. Linnekin is the author of “Biting the Hands that Feed Us: How Fewer, Smarter Laws Would Make Our Food System More Sustainable” and he joined Steve to chat about the staggering statistics regarding food waste (for example 40% of food that is grown in the US is wasted). A new study about the housing market also jumped out to Steve, and Nidhi Verma (Senior Director of Research at TransUnion) told listeners about the 17 million new home buyers that are expected to enter the housing market over the next five years.
