Architecture contributor Lee Bey joins Justin to talk about the 25th anniversary of the Harold Washington Library. Lee discusses the history of the library, the controversy surrounding the library’s architecture, why the building is located where it is, the various architects who submitted designs for the building, when the library was named for former Mayor Harold Washington and the role the library played in turning the area into a cultural and educational corridor.
