Former President of Ireland Mary Robinson was in-studio with The Steve Cochran Show. President Robinson received the prestigious Medal of Merit on Wednesday at the City Council. She has had a number of other events, including a Lunch at the Hilton Hotel on Thursday to raise funds for Ireland’s first Presidential Library, the Mary Robinson Centre, based in her hometown of Ballina, in the West of Ireland.

President Robinson has had a transformative effect everywhere she has served. She was both the symbol and an architect of the development of an open, modern Ireland through her Presidency and through her current advocacy has been instrumental in ensuring that universal human rights are a core element of both the UN Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.
