Minute clinic, convenient care, urgent care – these clinics all over the place.  Do you only go to these and skip your regular doctor?

I used to work at an immediate care associated with a hospital and every
day we would get people from on the minute clinic because the issue was
something they couldn’t take care of

I was diagnosed for my bad cough with an over the phone service called Plushcare. Got a script for antibiotics, very convenient.

Urgent care for things that shouldn’t wait, but not ’emergency’. I’ve been for Lyme disease on Saturday afternoon, and twisted ankle early morning before Dr opened. Cost slightly more than Dr, but MUCH less than ER.

I use Jewel clinic for ‘immediate’ vaccinations at same $ as Dr.

My husband went to a Walgreens clinic for strep throat…$89.
I went to an urgent care for a sinus infection $300. Needless to say I won’t use urgent care unless absolutely necessary! I wasn’t happy…

My pediatrician of twenty years retired last year because she couldn’t compete with minute clinics. No one is loyal to a doctor anymore.

Stupidest thing you did this month:

I had a very important job interview two weeks ago. There were five people involved in the interview. I sent thank you notes to all of them, except for the most important person! I feel like an idiot.

My husband’s cellphone holder has Velcro on the flap. He was working on his car and couldn’t find his phone. He looked 45 min. Went in the house & called on the landline. It rang on his back…the Velcro hooked on his suspenders!

I had an older car, brake light kept going on so I had it towed to my mechanic. When I picked it up my bill was 0 cause all he did was release the parking brake I had bumped. Thank goodness for AAA…(was a couple of years ago)

This was a long time ago but it was so incredibly stupid I have to tell you…. I was in my early 20’s at a party. I put out a match from lighting a cigarette (which I only smoked socially). The match in the ASH TRAY didn’t completely go out. I bent over and BLEW ON IT. As I was doing it I immediately realized my mistake as my face got covered in ashes!!!!!

How do you define your close friends:

Yes a friend is someone you are not afraid to be vulnerable. They know all your flaws and weaknesses but sees past them and think you are awesome. My friend is that person. She is battling cancer and if she were not in my life there would be a huge hole that could not be filled.

I agree, there are levels of friendships.
Most people are curious and not really concerned. Unless it rocks their world they don’t care

I have friends I go to lunch and socialize with-told them I had cancer. See some high school friends 1time a year-didn’t tell them until 6 months later. They said why didn’t you tell us-were your friends. I did tell my friends-the ones I see every week and share everything!

I have 4 best friends from my high…high school…we have traveled together and are planning ans saving for our 600the birthday trip! A couple have moved to Michigan and Iowa but come back home (Chicago area) often. We laugh we cry and share the ups and downs of our lives .these are my go to girls for everything! I have ‘girlfriend’ through work and Jazzercise (I’m an instructor)..that are wonderful people. So my friend circle is big but my besties are a very special group!

A
person whom I considered to be my best friend knew that I was
undergoing testing for cancer. She never asked any followup questions
about how the testing was going. Then I mentioned to her that I had a
biopsy scheduled and she never asked any followup questions about that,
either. I have since been diagnosed with cancer and she still doesn’t
know because she didn’t ask and now I don’t feel like I need to tell
her. I no longer consider her to be my best friend.
