The great Wayne Messmer joins Justin in-studio to talk about his illustrious career in Chicago including his famous rendition of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” his emotional attachment to the song, being pigeonholed as only an anthem singer, starting out doing the song for the Chicago Sting, being shot in the neck in 1994, the transition he made emotionally and mentally after the incident, overcoming adversity, the very first time he sang the anthem after recovering from his injury, the importance of having faith in his life, what it would mean if he was able to sing the anthem at Wrigley Field during a World Series and what Chicago means to him.
