Brian kicks off the show with some humorous commentary on the Chicago Air and Water Show, whose jets have been scaring a lot of listeners with their noise levels. Then, he welcomes Indiana University Provost Professor of English Language and Literature Michael Adams to the program to discuss the history and current state of cursing based on his new book, In Praise of Profanity. WGN Radio’s Violeta Podrumedic then checks in to describe her experience jumping out of a plane with the U.S. Army Parachute Team Golden Knights. Brian then turns his attention to a discussion on why kids should learn how to be responsible at an early age (or at least before high school) after chatting a bit about taking responsibility for his upcoming trip to Madrid in October. Karen Conti wraps up the show by discussing the latest and greatest in legal stories with Brian and answering questions from listeners for the final hour of the program.
