Matt Bubala full show 8/20/16

Matt had a big afternoon filling in for both Amy Guth’s Wintrust Business Lunch and the John Williams show.

During the business lunch, he talks to Bloomberg education reporter Janet Lorin about Northwestern’s huge new endowment. Max Chafkin from Bloomberg also called in to discuss his recent article on Uber’s plan to have a fleet of self-driving cars on the streets of Pittsburgh. Finally, Drew Harwell from the Washington Post told Matt about his piece on how online videos are replacing television.

Then, Matt talks to WGN’s own Violeta Podrumedic for updates on the Air & Water Show, and while on the subject, he asks listeners whether they’ve ever jumped out of a perfectly good plane. Chicago Tribune’s Stacy St. Clair calls in from Rio with an update from the 2016 Summer Olympics and columnist Phil Rogers calls in to chat baseball. And oh yeah, in the middle of all of this, a huge anti-rape protest walked by the Allstate Showcase Studio.
