Welcome everybody to  Down and Distance, where two dads talk sports and parenting. Jarrett Payton and Shaun Davis discuss the trending topics in sports and share parenting lessons from their everyday lives.  On this episode of D.A.D., Jarrett and Shaun are joined by Hoop Magazine’s Bryan Crawford and College basketball analyst, Brooke Weisbrod.  We discuss the firing of Tom Thibodeau and examine the explanations from Jerry Reinsdorf, John Paxson and Gar Forman.

First Down:  Tom Thibodeau was removed as the head coach of the Chicago Bulls after 5 season and a record of 255-138.  Jerry Reinsdorf released a jarring statement that was considered unnecessary by some.

Second Down:  John Paxson and Gar Forman held a press conference shortly after firing Tom Thibodeau and there were some interesting things said.  Talk about throwing Bulls’ players under the bus.

Third Down:  What’ next?  Most reports have Iowa State head coach leaving Ames, Iowa to become the next head coach of the Chicago Bulls.  What’s the bigger issue?  The head coach or the roster?

Fouth and Goal:  Parenting as always!  Riley Curry and P. J. Rose have become press conference stars and they head up our discussion on children in the workplace.
