Lou Manfredini (Glenn Kaupert)

Lou Manfredini is host of the widely popular “Mr. Fix It” call-in show heard Saturday mornings, 7-10 a.m. on WGN Radio 720 AM throughout the Chicagoland market. Since 1995, Lou has developed a loyal following of listeners who’ve grown to rely upon his entertaining mix of practical, useful and valuable home improvement advice. Listener response is so intense that the WGN Radio phone lines light up even before the show goes on the air – as listeners vie to have their renovation and remodeling questions answered by “Mr. Fix It.” Lou is also a regular contributor to NBC’s Today Show, is a guest Fridays locally on WGN-TV’s morning news and hosts the national home improvement program HouseSmarts which airs in Chicago on WGN-TV. Lou also serves as Ace Hardware’s Home Expert .

Lou’s life-long interest in home improvement began during high school when he worked in a hardware store, gaining knowledge of hardware products and experience in customer service. While attending Millikin University, Lou worked his way through school remodeling homes and learning everything from sewers to shingles. Lou runs a real estate management company and owns two hardware stores in Chicago. He resides in Chicago with his wife, four children and pups Enzo and Flo.

In May, 2015, Lou Manfredini was inducted into the WGN Radio Walk of Fame.
