Shark in Lake Michigan? Maybe not

Your Shark Week update for the day...

Photos taken on July 11 by Michal Furmanek show an object in Lake Michigan that looks like it could be a shark's fin.  Or maybe a piece of driftwood or other random object floating in the water.

But the photos generated some attention. In a world where sharks can apparently be transported by tornadoes (or is that just a movie?), people wondered if sharks can survive in fresh water, such as what is found in Lake Michigan. It turns out that bull sharks can, but is that what this is?

Doubtful. Experts believe that the image is just debris, possibly an upside down surf board.  Or maybe it is a fin, but not from a shark.
